Employer Propositions Manager

Main purpose of role:

Leading The Pensions Regulator’s strategic direction with regard to development of the regulator's propositions to its employer audience

Acting as a customer champion for the regulator's core employer audience and ensuring all policy is presented in a coherent way to employers.

Leading the definition of a coherent approach to presenting the requirements and expectations on employers of different sizes, sectors and levels of engagement in pension provision.

Leading the deployment of The Pensions Regulator’s campaigns to employers and accountable for delivering the key metric of customer satisfaction. 

Key accountabilities / responsibilities:

• Measuring and reporting performance as required, including analysis of trends, variations, and improvements
• Developing the strategic market segmentation approach toward employers and delivery of a segmented Employer audience strategy for the regulator
• Developing and delivering communications propositions appropriate for those segments
• Gathering employer information from across The Pensions Regulator and becoming a champion and expert on employer requirements
• Working with Corporate and International Relations and other internal and employer stakeholder groups and influencers
• Improving knowledge and understanding of employers including
• Developing the framework for employer knowledge and understanding and continuing to influence delivery of appropriate learning to employers
• Contributing to the development of the channel strategy
• Channel usage and impact
• The Pensions Regulator's overall function and team objectives
• Public understanding and confidence in occupational pensions
• Regulation principles and best practice
• Project management methods and techniques eg PRINCE II
• Performance management / The Pensions Regulator HR processes
• Standard Office IT software applications
• Other relevant IT software applications

Essential criteria:

• Proven application of segmentation strategies and techniques
• Solid experience of proposition development strategies and techniques
• Understanding of research strategies and techniques
• Detailed knowledge of channel usage and impact
• Proven application of data management approaches and techniques including database design and management best practice
• Wide experience of communication and education approaches and techniques
• Familiarity with pensions environment strategic trends and issues
• Proven experience of collaborative working with and effective influencing on a wide range of complex stakeholder
