Brief description of role

To provide specialist actuarial advice and practical funding review interventions for the risk and funding (RaFT) team.

Accountabilities

  • Making risk-based regulation decisions at an operational level based on actuarial knowledge
  • Analysing information to provide actuarial advice for action proposed in relation to casework and application of regulatory tools
  • Contributing information to development of new strategies
  • Contributing to project and case teams with specific, actuarial advice and knowledge to assist progress towards objectives
  • Sharing knowledge of actuarial issues, best practice and successful interventions with colleagues and providing relevant learning when required
  • Communicating effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders
  • Escalating high priority issues as required
  • Suggesting relevant improvements to team processes
  • Communicating patterns of information to assist in identifying horizontal themes; sharing relevant information

Qualifications

  • Fellow of the Faculty or Institute of Actuaries
