  1. Does your organisation have a Facebook page(s)? If yes, what is / are the url(s) and when were they set up?
  2. Does your organisation advertise or spend any money on Facebook? If yes, please can you outline what expenditure has occurred and break down expenditure per calendar year (January to December) since 2004?
  3. Does your organisation have a Twitter account? If yes, what is / are the url(s) and when were they set up?
  4. Does your organisation advertise or spend any money on Twitter? If yes, please can you outline what expenditure has occurred and break down expenditure per calendar year (January to December) since 2006?
  5. Does your organisation use Google G Suite services (Google services) or does your organisation rely on google for any services (such as email hosting)? If yes, what are the services, when were they agreed and how much did they cost?
  6. Does your organisation advertise or spend any money on Google? If yes, please can you outline what expenditure has occurred and break down expenditure per calendar year (January to December) since the payments first began?

Response

I can confirm that we hold some of the information falling within scope of your request. However, we are unable to supply some of the information requested for the reasons set out.

Information we are able to supply

  1. The Pensions Regulator's (TPR) Facebook account URL is https://www.facebook.com/ThePensionsRegulator. TPR’s official account was set up June 2015 – (however Facebook created an unofficial presence prior to this date as a result of search traffic).
  2. Information we are unable to supply – all spend on FaceBook for automatic enrolment advertising is channelled through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Please refer to DWP for these figures. Aside from this figure, since 2004, TPR has spent additional budget on FaceBook on pension scams activity as follows: March 16 – £9,744, June 16 – £5,000, March 17 – £12,500, October 17 – £11,514.47 (all figures including VAT).
  3. TPR’s twitter account URL is https://twitter.com/TPRgovuk. This account was set up in October 2011.
  4. Information we are unable to supply – all spend on Twitter for automatic enrolment advertising is channelled through DWP. Please refer to DWP for figures. Aside from this figure, since 2004, TPR has spent additional budget on Twitter on pension scams activity as follows: October 2017 – £70,59.98 (including VAT).
  5. We use Google Search Appliance on our website to provide the onsite search facility. This service is currently managed through a third party supplier.
  6. Information we are unable to supply – we do have some budget allocation against Google Adwords, but this is managed through DWP central budget. Please refer to DWP for this figure.
