We are looking to hire an experienced IT Development Manager to come and join us at TPR as we drive through a number of transformational programmes.

You will lead a well established and high performing team of multi-skilled engineers responsible for the delivery of core solutions that underpin the organisation's ability to conduct its regulatory activity.

The right candidate is someone who will be an ambassador for IT within TPR, working with the IT senior leadership team and across the business to provide effective communication on IT matters and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue between our directorates to deliver transformational solutions.


  • Develop, mentor, coach, guide and improve the capabilities of the IT Development Team.
  • Continuously improve development methodologies, processes and standards.
  • Provide guidance and advice and be the key point of contact for IT development issues between the business and IT.

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of full SDLC gained through delivery of enterprise web applications.
  • Proven experience of .NET frameworks and front-end technologies (REACTJs).
  • Strong understanding of object oriented design, design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Experience of working with web content management systems such as Sitecore, WordPress or Umbraco.
  • Good understanding of DevOps principles and ways to optimise quality and deliver software systems in close alignment with business objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience using the Azure DevOps toolset.
  • Proficient in agile software delivery (Kanban, scrum, SAFe).
