We’re looking for an Engagement & Partnerships lead to design and deliver activities that build awareness and understanding among our external stakeholders, invite their views, and work in partnership with them to support our organisational objectives. Part of a multi-disciplinary Communications directorate, you will manage a portfolio of projects in the Engagement & Partnerships team on a broad range of topics such as automatic enrolment and pension scams.


You will:

  • develop, deliver and evaluate partnership and engagement plans, products and activities to support the delivery of TPR’s strategic priorities, corporate plan and communications strategy
  • establish and maintain effective relationships with external partners to capture their insight and feedback, and promote our messages through their channels
  • support colleagues in their engagement activities by providing advice and briefings
  • manage the E&P officer responsible for supporting the delivery of E&P activities, ensuring performance management processes are followed, direction and coaching are provided, high quality standards are met, and TPR’s policies and processes are adhered to
  • work with the rest of the team to support the continuous improvement of team systems, processes and ways of working

Essential criteria

  • in depth knowledge and experience of stakeholder management and partnership working gained in an external affairs, marketing or corporate communications role
  • excellent communication skills, able to develop and deliver engaging written and spoken communications, build effective relationships and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • excellent planning, organisational and management skills to lead internal project teams and external working groups and events
  • knowledgeable in using data and systems to design, deliver and evaluate communications plans and activities
  • effective people management skills able to achieve outcomes through others
  • effective team player able to build good relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues
