Role

An Industry Outreach Officer is required to support TPR’s Industry Outreach team in delivering the engagement strategy ahead of new duties coming into force which will require trustees and scheme managers to provide data through pensions dashboards.

Several thousand pension schemes will need to prepare for these new duties, supported by hundreds of administrators and a number of administration software providers. TPR will take a proactive role in educating and engaging with industry, supporting the staging profile and focusing on areas of risk as they prepare to comply.

You will:

  • develop and enhance existing data management systems and processes in order to report on and drive engagement activity
  • develop and maintain team systems, processes and metrics to support the coordination of dashboard engagement activities across the outreach team, and to monitor/evaluate the impact/reach of activities
  • develop and maintain a process to capture, collate and share insights and feedback across delivery partners
  • support the Industry Outreach team with diary management, meeting notes/actions, maintenance of slide library, Q and A log

Responsibilities

You will:

  • maintain an accurate database of dashboard stakeholder contact/engagement records and maintain a forward look of activities
  • monitor external stakeholder comment and sentiment relating to dashboards through engagement records and publicly available sources
  • take ownership of and accountability for data management, monitoring and evaluation processes within the team, with support and guidance from the rest of the team
  • use judgement to make decisions on issues such as whether an external issue or event is of interest to colleagues internally, identify key points/actions from meetings notes etc
  • draft internal briefing notes/materials ahead of relevant stakeholder meetings, as required
  • prioritise and organise your own workload, work to deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility to support colleagues as needed 

Essential and desirable criteria

  • demonstrable experience of putting in place systems and processes to measure and evaluate the impact of comms and engagement activities 
  • in depth working knowledge and experience of inputting, managing and analysing data in a CRM system (e.g. MS Dynamics 365), and Excel. (Power Bi experience desirable) 
  • ability to analyse, understand, summarise and present complex data and information 
  • B2B experience working in pro-active communications and/or business development 
  • good written and spoken communication skills, able to summarise and simplify complex information and data and present that to colleagues
