Role

We're looking for will manage data platform resources on a day-to-day basis, organising, prioritising and allocating tasks, collaborating and communicating across the business, making decisions about risks, issues and dependencies and resolving any conflicts that arise from these.  The Product Owner will deliver requested products and operations into the business and determine the defined business benefits.

The Product Owner will introduce a process of regular optimisation throughout the customer journey as well as helping to identify and coordinate the design and development of new functionality.
Specifically, the Product Owner will interface with the business to support ongoing data, Intelligence and Analytical teams as well as data scientists to assist with data exploration activities.

There will be third party interfaces which require management as the platform consumes external data. Working alongside the Lead Data Engineer, the Product Owner will ensure that there is a consistent approach to the acquisition and the processing of the Pensions Regulator information and that governance is applied to the types of data the business consumes.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • be the leader and decision maker for the data platform
  • recruit key resources into the data platform where identified gaps and additional resource are needed
  • be accountable for the execution of the plans and product backlogs and, in turn, for the delivery of the minimum viable product to the agreed definition of done and delivery of the defined business benefits
  • responsible for the allocation of work to team members and directing team members
  • responsible for risk, issue and dependency management within the workstream and across workstreams in collaboration with other product owners
