To lead and execute the document migration activities for the Systems Supporting Regulatory Activity (SSRA) programme, focused on migrating from OpenText eDocs platform to SharePoint Online.


  • Lead the migration activity within the Document Management workstream, working seamlessly with the Technical Assurance Lead, Product Owner and Lead Business Analyst within an agile framework.
  • Engage with Solution Architects to understand the Microsoft and third-party solutions required to ensure successful delivery aligned to the corporate business and new enterprise technologies strategy for TPR.
  • Understand the business clients' overall functional and non-functional requirements, IT and business priorities and critical success factors from design to implementation.
  • Specify, design and create solutions using agreed technology standards, designs and principles to solve business problems and achieve business objectives.
  • Work with IT stakeholders, internal/external partners and appropriate toolsets to migrate documents from their legacy repository to SharePoint Online.

Essential criteria

Technical activities to include:

  • Liaising with IT department to ensure Azure resources are requested and configured.
  • Liaising with third-party tool vendor to ensure smooth installation and configuration of the tool.
  • Troubleshooting configuration impediments (performance, security, etc).
  • Working alongside the Business Analyst to configure the tool, carry out test and then live migrations according to the agreed plan.
  • Liaising with third-party document management client-side delivery partner.

Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Microsoft Azure IaaS (VM / Resource Groups / RBAC).
  • Understanding of networking / security in Azure.
  • PowerShell general knowledge.
  • SharePoint Online (Office 365).
  • Any knowledge of migrating content into SharePoint Online.
  • SQL Server 2012 / 2016.

Problem solving:

  • Solve complex business, technical and document management problems, propose solutions and architect the technology.
  • Align with technical architecture, roadmaps, blue prints and corporate standards.
  • Link between the business requirements and the technology, solutions, processes and data ensuring technology integrity covers both the functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Identify business needs aligned to the business strategy and IT initiatives (eg replacing end-of-life systems).
  • Actively manage risks and issues related to architecture and technology delivery by working closely with other team members and IT operations to resolve them in-time without impacting the delivery schedule.
  • Be a key point of IT expertise on technologies and solutions that solve business problems while also working with delivery and client-side assist partners.
  • Liaise with test teams, operational and development and solutions teams to agree integration, DevOps and testing standards.
