Role

We're looking for a Records Management Business Partner to support the Records Manager in providing an effective records management capability for the whole of TPR by establishing, developing and promoting TPR-wide standards and legal requirements across the creation, storage, security, retention and destruction of all documents and records.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • act as key contact for TPR's teams and internal stakeholders, providing expert technical input, advice and training on records management policies and processes
  • support the establishment, development and promotion of TPR-wide standards for records management including the creation, storage, security, retention and destruction of documents and records
  • monitor the level of compliance with TPR standards for records management in all its business areas, and identify and encourage any action required to ensure compliance with the Public Records, Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts and Department for Constitutional Affairs Code of Practice
  • support the Records Manager and Data Governance Lead in communicating the 'roll out' of records management and data governance across TPR, including the maintenance of all existing policies and legislation through regular reviews and input to system requirements
  • support the Data Governance Lead in the provision of assurance to the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) acting as a link between internal stakeholders and the Records Manager to ensure TPR's data estate is compliant with GDPR

Essential Criteria  

  • knowledge of Records Management related legislation: Public Records, Freedom of Information and Data Protection Act, GDPR and Department for Constitutional Affairs Code of Practice
  • experience of Records Management and Information lifecycle creation, storage, security, retention and destruction of documents and records applied across legacy systems and new IT systems
  • strong stakeholder management skills typically evidenced though experience in Project and/or relationship management
  • experience of overseeing time-critical business processes and of influencing others to take appropriate action within deadlines
  • experience of proactively identifying risks, issues, and opportunities to develop enhanced ways of working to improve Records Management and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation
