  • making sure employers put their staff into a pension scheme and pay money into it (known as ‘automatic enrolment’)
  • protecting people’s savings in workplace pensions
  • improving the way that workplace pension schemes are run
  • reducing the risk of pension schemes ending up in the Pension Protection Fund (PPF)
  • making sure employers balance the needs of their defined benefit pension scheme with growing their business

Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Change Implementation Project Manager to join us on our focused implementation of strategic changes to TPR’s operating model resulting from emerging parliamentary legislation.

You will lead one of the critical implementation workstreams, ensuring that the required changes to processes, people and technology are delivered against schedule, quality and within budget.

You will work with colleagues across TPR to ensure they are operationally ready.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that business stakeholders have a platform and environment in which they can contribute and shape the operational framework implemented.
  • Ensure that the implemented workstream understands and realises the expected benefits.
  • Provide leadership to build effective and collaborative project teams with a shared sense of direction in a matrix environment.
  • Estimate, secure and manage matrix resource delivery.
  • Prepare and track project budget.
  • Identify, evaluate and proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies to project delivery to inform impacts to delivery, including portfolio impacts.
  • Gather and present information with options and recommendations to enable informed decision making by stakeholders up to Executive Director and Portfolio Oversight Board level.
  • Lead on the agile ceremonies such as Daily Scrums, Demos, PI planning etc.
  • Potentially manage more than one workstream within the Programme dependent upon the expected scale of change.

Essential and desirable criteria

  • Demonstrable experience of working as project manager on a similar business change implementation project preferably within a regulatory environment.
  • Successful management and delivery of medium – large business change projects and/or programmes within time/cost/quality tolerances.
  • Extensive experience of applying industry recognised project management methodology (eg traditional and agile) to achieve successful delivery of medium to large scale projects within agreed tolerances of time, cost and quality.
  • Accredited to Practitioner level in an industry recognised Agile project management methodology (eg SAFe SM, APMG Certified Agile Project Management Practitioner, AgilePgM etc) or equivalent experience.
  • Applied Agile change governance through full lifecycle from receipt of request through to implementation.
  • Expert use of Azure DevOps.
  • Highly skilled at stakeholder management at all levels and facilitation to be able to conclude discussions and reach consensus where multiple stakeholders may have multiple conflicting needs.
