We are looking for an individual to support the delivery and implementation of TPR’s Corporate Strategy, Annual Strategic review and Strategic Framework.

You will support the delivery, implementation and review of TPR’s Corporate Strategy and Strategic Framework. Working with Strategy Team Leads and Specialists you will assist in identifying and developing strategic requirements at both an organisational and departmental level and deliver Strategy products that underpin TPR’s strategic direction.


  • Provide support and assist Strategy Team Leaders and Specialists in the design, implementation, review and ongoing evolution of TPR’s Strategic Framework.
  • Assist the delivery of strategic workstreams in line with business needs engaging with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Support and assist Team Leaders and Specialists in gathering strategic requirements from the business and support the development and delivery of these at a departmental level.
  • Provide support to Team Leaders and Specialists in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of TPR strategic targets.
  • Assist and deliver the production of Strategy materials and products.
  • Manage and deliver a small portfolio of strategy projects and cross organizational projects as allocated.
  • Work with the Strategy team to deliver high quality papers and slide decks (to a ‘finished’ standard), including through research and analysis, risk assessment, and the development of options and recommendations.
  • Act as an ambassador for strategic change within the organization.

Essential and desirable criteria


  • Experience of working in Financial services or regulatory environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work across multiple areas in a fast-paced environment, make decisions regarding escalations and work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of communicating with and managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders including at senior level.
  • Experienced in producing papers in a variety of formats, including writing clearly and succinctly and producing graphics using Microsoft Office and other publishing software (eg InDesign).
  • Ability to work creatively at a conceptual level in a highly emergent environment within small teams to support the development and delivery of new strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evidence of analytic capabilities including the ability to develop options and recommendations.


  • Good understanding of the UK pensions industry including DB and DC/AE market structures and the currently opportunities and challenges faced by these markets.
  • Good understanding of the pensions regulatory regime including TPR’s regulatory remit and those of its partner organisations.
  • Relevant experience in working within a strategy/strategic operations function with an understanding of how a strategy team works to support the ongoing development and needs of an organisation.
