Creating simplified illustrations

Simplified illustrations are less complex and more iconic. They visualise an idea or message in a simple and immediate way. To make sure you're using these simplified illustrations effectively, follow these principles:

  • Use colour and composition to create dynamism.
  • Less is more - keep compositions simple and use as few simplified illustrations as possible.
  • Don't use illustrations typographically in headlines.
