Individuals opted out of AE into workplace pensions

Request
I would like to request the following information as held by The Pensions Regulator (TPR):
- the number of individuals who opted out of auto-enrolment into a workplace pension scheme
- the number of individuals who opted out of auto-enrolment into a workplace pension scheme within the statutory opt-out period
I would like this data broken down by the following age groups:
- people aged 19 or under
- people aged 20 to 29
- people aged 30 to 39
- people aged 40 to 49
- people aged 50 to 59
- people aged 60 to 69
- people aged 70 or over
I would like this data broken down by year, specifically for 2024 to 2025, 2023 to 2024, 2022 to 2023, 2021 to 2022, and 2019 to 2020, with a year end of 31 December, or the most recent year-end at which you hold the information.

Following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that we do not hold the information you have requested as TPR does not hold data on people who have opted out of pension schemes.
I would advise contacting Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) who do hold such data.
