Response

Following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that we do not hold the information you have requested. The Pensions Regulator does not collect data on small pension pots or lost pots, and we do not handle complaints relating to these matters.

The best publicly available insight on pension data is provided by the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI). Please note that the PPI is not a public sector body, so its information cannot be requested under FoIA.

You may wish to contact the Office for National Statistics (ONS) regarding the Wealth and Assets Survey, which collects information on pension pots directly from savers.

For complaints about lost pension pots, it may be useful to contact The Pensions Ombudsman, as TPR does not handle these complaints.
