I only have one member of staff and he or she doesn’t want to be in a pension scheme. Do I still need to complete a declaration?

Yes – every employer with at least one member of staff will need to tell us how they have complied with their automatic enrolment duties by completing a declaration of compliance. If you only have one member of staff who needs to be put into a scheme, they’ll still need to be put into the scheme before they can ask to leave it.

Find out more about completing your declaration of compliance.
