What are PSR numbers, and where can I find them?

A Pension Scheme Registry (PSR) number is allocated to the pension scheme by The Pensions Regulator and can be obtained from the trustees or managers of the pension scheme. It is an 8-digit number starting with a 1. It’s not to be confused with the Pension Scheme Tax Reference (PSTR), which is a reference allocated to pension schemes by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). This isn’t required for the NEST pension scheme.
