What happens if I don't complete my declaration/re-declaration within the time frames? Can I still complete it if it's late?

Yes, if you have a declaration or multiple re-declarations that are outstanding you must complete and submit all that are overdue.

What to do next

  • Go to declaration of compliance
  • If you haven’t done so already, create an account
  • Once signed in, if you have more than one overdue declaration/re-declaration to fill in, you’ll be prompted to complete them in the order they were due, starting with the oldest.
    • After you’ve submitted your declaration or re-declaration, go back to your dashboard and complete any other overdue re-declarations
  • You must complete and submit all that are overdue. If you miss any out, enforcement action may be applied.

It is your legal duty to complete your declaration of compliance correctly and on time. If you’re having difficulties with the automatic enrolment process or with gathering the right information to complete your declaration of compliance by your deadline, please contact us without delay.

If you are late complying or think you might be, you should tell us about it straight away or you may be fined. To find out more visit Warnings, notices and payment of fines.

Find out how you can sign in to your declaration of compliance, and how to print a copy of your declaration/re-declaration for record keeping. You can also view and edit my declaration of compliance.
