Request a session with The Pensions Regulator (TPR) experts to discuss your new idea or solution that will improve outcomes for pension savers.
This will help you to understand any concerns that we may have and regulatory issues you should consider.
Who can request a discussion session
You can request a discussion session if you are in the early stages of developing a new pensions idea or solution, particularly in investment and new scheme models or administration and member experience.
Investment and new scheme models
Investment and new scheme models covers new ideas and solutions relating to pension fund investments, including the model that underpins it. This includes:
- collective defined contribution schemes
- master trusts
- superfunds
- new models that benefit the saver
- consolidation of smaller pension schemes
- environmental, social and governance initiatives
- private market investment, such as productive finance
Administration and member experience
Administration and member experience covers anything that savers interact with. This includes new and improved:
- apps
- customer service
- methods of member communication
- websites
- guidance around decumulation in retirement
- guided retirement products
What happens in a session
If we can support your request, you’ll meet with one or more TPR experts to discuss your pensions innovation.
We can highlight concerns that we may have from a regulatory perspective. However, we cannot give specific advice or approve or endorse your pensions innovation.
You also will not be able to use our name or logo in promotional materials based on conversations you have with us.
Request a discussion session
We need some background information about your pensions innovation so that we can decide if we can help and to prepare for the session.
Fill in the request an innovation discussion session form (DOC, 41kb, 2 pages) and email it to innovation@tpr.gov.uk.
