Equality, diversity and inclusion

At TPR, we are committed to embracing a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Our approach is rooted in the belief that diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens our organisation and enhances the way we serve the public. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their full potential.

As a Disability Confident Employer, we actively support the recruitment, retention and progression of disabled people. We guarantee an interview to any disabled applicant who meets the essential criteria for a role, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and beyond.

We also recognise the importance of creating spaces where colleagues can connect, share experiences and drive positive change. Our employee networks play a vital role in this, including groups focused on gender equality, LGBT+ inclusion, ethnic diversity, disability advocacy, mental health awareness, and environmental sustainability.

Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is not only central to our values as an employer, but also fundamental to our role as a regulator. We are determined to lead by example and to help shape a pensions industry that works for all savers.

Climate and sustainability

At TPR, we recognise the critical role we play in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. We have set ambitious targets to achieve net zero emissions across our operations by 2030 and our value chain by 2050, and we are actively implementing measures to meet these commitments.

Climate change presents both risks and opportunities for pension schemes. Trustees are increasingly considering its impact on investment portfolios and long-term strategy. Our Climate Change Strategy outlines how we are driving action across the pensions industry encouraging trustees to integrate climate considerations into decision-making and promoting resilience in the face of environmental change.

We are also taking steps to adapt our own operations and contribute meaningfully to the broader climate agenda. Our Climate Adaptation Report, Net Zero Report, and Environmental Data disclosures provide transparency on our progress and demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship.
