How is the fine calculated?

The level of the fine is set by Parliament. The fixed penalty notice is set at £400.

If you still don’t comply with a statutory notice after being issued with a fixed penalty notice you may be issued with an escalating penalty notice.

A full list of the notices and their fines can be found at How we enforce.

You can pay your penalty notice online or find the relevant BACS transfer details at our pay an automatic enrolment penalty notice page.
