Measuring impact

1. We monitor the impact of our enforcement approach by evaluating the success of our enforcement cases against our case strategies and the outcomes we are seeking.
2. In particular we seek to monitor:
   • the impact of our enforcement activity in terms of:
     • evidence of behavioural change and deterrent effect
     • perception of the effectiveness of our enforcement
   • the level of consistency in our approach and enforcement outcomes achieved
   • understanding and awareness of our policy messages
3. We keep our approach to regulating pension schemes under review to ensure that it remains effective.
