Rydym ni’n uwchraddio ein gwefan ar hyn o bryd. Efallai y byddwch yn sylwi bod rhai adrannau yn edrych yn wahanol tra byddwn yn gwneud y gwaith hwn. Ni fydd y cyfleuster chwilio hefyd ar gael yn ystod yr amser yma.

I have resolved the issue with my pension provider. Do I still need to send evidence?

Yes, if you have received an Unpaid Contributions Notice you must send evidence to show the situation is resolved by the deadline on the notice.

Why have I received an Unpaid Contributions Notice?

You have received an Unpaid Contributions Notice because your pension provider has reported to The Pensions Regulator that you owe pension contributions.

What you need to do:

  • You must contact your pension provider to pay the outstanding contributions for the reported period in the Unpaid Contributions Notice, and

  • Send evidence that you have paid the contributions to The Pensions Regulator before the deadline in the Unpaid Contributions Notice.

IMPORTANT: You must pay the contributions before you submit evidence; we cannot accept documents showing payments scheduled for a future date.

Acceptable evidence:

Screenshots from the pension provider’s portal clearly showing points 1, 2 and 3:

  1. the pension scheme EPSR number,

  1. reported periods have been paid, and

  1. the actual date the reported periods were paid – (DD/MM/YYYY).

If you are not able to send screenshots:

  • Bank statements can only be acceptable with additional evidence, eg invoices from the scheme provider.

  • An email from your scheme provider confirming:

    • there are no outstanding contributions for the period(s) previously reported, and

    • the date(s) you paid the contributions.

  • If you cannot pay the amount in one go due to financial difficulties and have agreed a payment plan with your pension provider, you must submit evidence of the agreed payment plan and the date it started.

If we do not receive evidence by the deadline in the Unpaid Contributions Notice, a £400 fixed penalty notice may be issued. After this, we can issue an additional fine which increases daily (varying from £50 to £10,000). Read more about warnings, notices and payment of fines.

Please send your evidence to the email address provided in your Unpaid Contributions Notice from The Pensions Regulator.
